Baxter & Bella is the most effective “in-home” training program we’ve ever come across. We believe it can help most dog owners – both new puppy owners as well as families with older dogs. And, we recommend this even if you get additional one on one traing (from us, or from another place.)

1 on 1 Training Packages at Lost Creek
Limited on-site training spots available & currently offered only to dogs from Lost Creek.
We focus on obedience, teaching the dogs to be respectful, while remaining loving and playful. We want to help you have a family member that will obey you when necessary, but still have a confident spirit.

Important: We'll begin the programs below immediately following puppy selection, at approximately 6 weeks of age. We therefore require you pay 50% at that time. The remainder is due at puppy pick-up. (For the Full Obedience with Refreshers package below, you pay the price of the Extended Basic balance at puppy pick-up. The remainder is paid in two parts, after the follow up visits at 7 and 10 months.)
These puppies are very young and there are no guarantees on this training. Some puppies are more receptive than others at this age. These pups tend to be very smart, however, and we anticipate that this will get your puppy off to a great start. This package includes:
- Puppy remains at Lost Creek until 14 weeks of age. (We sometimes ask that the puppy return to Lost Creek for 7-14 days at about 6 months to complete one refresher.)
- Intro to commands – sit; place; down.
- Basic distraction training.
- Basic greeting manners.
- Includes intro crate (for crate training); crate pad; training leash and collar; second round of vaccinations; Muenster brand food (or one of our other preferred foods) Package includes one take-home bag.
- $3,450 + cost for any miscellaneous and/or unexpected expenses, including vet visits.
We can’t guarantee these results as the puppy is still very young. However, most of our puppies respond well to these instructions by 4 months of age. We recommend you follow up with additional training. This is an excellent foundation.
- Puppy stays at Lost Creek until approximately 18 weeks of age (depending on puppy).
- Commands – sit; place; down; heel on leash.
- More advanced distraction training takes place on the farm.
- More advanced greeting manners.
- Includes intro crate (for crate training); crate pad; training leash and collar; 3rd round of vaccinations.
- $4,400 + cost for any miscellaneous and/or unexpected expenses, including vet visits.
This program offers guaranteed commands with discounted annual refreshers. This program is a supplement to the Extended Basic Obedience course. The puppy first stays with us until 18 weeks of age to complete the Extended Basic training. The pup returns to us at 7 months and then again at 10 months of age. This continued training usually requires a stay at our farm for 1-2 weeks, depending on the puppy. (And occasionally, depending on the puppy, we ask the puppy to return for a 7 day refresher at 12 months.)
- Immersive training with 4 guaranteed commands: sit & extended sit; place & extended place; heel – on and off leash walking; down & extended down
- Advanced distraction training – multiple distractions in different environments.
- Advanced greeting manners, door manners and meal manners.
- $5,800. Price includes cost for Extended Basic Obedience. Puppy must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies.
- Puppy can return to our farm twice annually (until age 3) for continued reinforcement and/or new training if needed. These visits are usually 2-3 days at a time.
