Which Dog Food is Best? Part II
You may have read our last post about choosing the right dog food. Well, we have an exciting update!
As most of you know, here on the farm we prefer to feed all our dogs the food from Muenster Milling Co., in Muenster, TX. We can’t tell you how excited we are that they have recreated their website to make it customer friendly and explain their philosophy of using locally sourced, all-natural ingredients. And effective immediately, we can offer a special discount to you so you can give them a try!
We’ve never had a problem feeding their food to any of our dogs. For nursing mommas, and for your puppies after they wean, we often them the Muenster Ocean Fish, with supplemental bacon fat and probiotics. The Ocean fish is their top-tier food and one of the best foods we’ve ever fed our dogs. Another terrific option would be to purchase something like their Perfect Balance Pork Meal recipe, and add to it a supplemental topper.
If you have an older dog...
…you might consider their Ancient Grains or Perfect Balance. Or perhaps your family dog might do well with their grain-free option. (Be sure to take a look at their “custom dog food enhancements” they recommend. We LOVE this approach.)
If I had just a dog or two, important members of my family, I’d spoil them with the best. I’d start here => Ocean Fish or here => Grain Free Salmon. And then I’d add one of their toppers from time to time => click here. (Be sure to use the code below to save on your first order!)
Muenster is a family owned business and they work very hard to use locally sourced, natural ingredients.
Watch this video! The owners eat Muenster dog food for 30 days...and get healthier! They literally put their money where their mouth is! 🤔
These are great people doing their best to provide top quality foods with the best ingredients. We’ve been extremely satisfied and in case you can’t tell, we strongly recommend them.

We also freeze beef knuckle bones which make great dog bones and we
Love it Mary! Terrific idea! A local butcher sells large, raw, frozen bones and our dogs love those. The raw bones are great, but we encourage families to avoid cooked bones as they can be brittle and cause problems.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for reading!
